A DIFFERENT WAY TO LEARN
A microschool is small by design. At It Takes a Village Microschool, we believe children learn best when they are known, valued, and taught as whole people—not as numbers in a system. Our learning environment blends strong academics with connection, creativity, and care, creating space for children to grow with confidence and joy.

ITV is a literacy-first, project-based microschool rooted in community. Learning is personalized, relationships are central, and curiosity drives the work. Families who choose ITV are seeking something more human, more connected, and more responsive to their child’s needs.

Learning in Community
At ITV, students in grades K–8 learn in small, mixed-age learning communities we call learning villages. These villages are intentionally designed to foster strong relationships, meaningful collaboration, and a deep sense of belonging. Students are supported academically, encouraged socially, and empowered to use their voice as active participants in their learning.

Learning within each village is literacy-rich, hands-on, and project-based, allowing students to explore real-world topics, strengthen reading and writing skills, and make meaningful connections across subject areas. Students are encouraged to explore their heritage, culture, and identity as part of the learning experience, honoring who they are and where they come from. Guided by educators who truly know them, learners build confidence, curiosity, and independence while growing within a strong, connected community.
